Home Chair Workout

As you continue to navigate through this new ‘normal’ that includes lockdowns,
masks, restrictions and disruptions to your day to day life, it’s important to
ensure you stay healthy and including movement in your day, is one of the
easiest ways to feel alive and release some ‘feel good", happy endorphins.

So step away from the Netflix remote or put down the gaming console, and
spend just 10 minutes of the 24 hours you have every day treating your body to
some physical movement, while you give your eyes or thumbs a rest.
It doesn’t matter if you are at home, at the office or sitting in-home or hotel
isolation, all you need is 10 minutes and a sturdy chair.

There’s no fancy equipment required for this quick workout and you don’t need
to raid the pantry or laundry for makeshift weights, so you have no excuses not
to at least give this a go…. you never know, you may love chair workouts and
this will become part of your ‘new normal’ routine until you can get back to the
gym!

So to get started, you first need to place a sturdy chair in a room where you
have space to manoeuvre around it, and with that one piece of equipment now
set up, it’s time to jump right into the workout!

Your chair workout consists of 45 seconds of continuous movement and 15
seconds of rest between every exercise in the set.
If you’re new to this style of work out, and can’t complete 45 seconds of the
specified exercise continuously, take a pause where needed, then when you
can carry on.

This workout is all about making you feel better, so please don’t push yourself
to the point of injury.
